Lomina is a gas giant and the fifth planet of the Valentine system in the planet pack Extrasolar. The planet is an attractive target for missions, despite its huge distance from Kerbin (and therefore difficulty), because of its beautiful rings and its complex system of five moons: Maol, Javine, Ucella, Deemo, and Pael.
In-Game Description[]
“ | Lomina is a beautiful blue ice giant. Its eccentric orbit causes major temperature swings on any moons orbiting it. These same temperature swings on the planet itself cause massive storms. — Kerbal Astronomical Society |

Atmosphere[]
Lomina has a dense atmosphere with a datum level pressure of about 10 atmospheres and a depth of 250 000 meters. Compared to the atmosphere of Kerbin, Lomina's atmosphere has 10 times the surface pressure, and 3,5 times the depth. At an altitude of around 46 000 meters on Lomina, the atmospheric pressure is the same as at sea level on Kerbin (1 atm).
Like all other atmospheres in the game, Lomina's atmosphere fades exponentially as altitude increases. The scale height varies with altitude. The pressure-altitude profile is globally constant and independent of temperature. The following table gives the atmospheric pressure at various altitudes above the datum level.

Natural Satellites[]
Lomina has five natural satellites:
- Maol, a rocky moon, is the smallest moon of Lomina.
- Javine, a frozen moon with a very thin atmosphere.
- Ucella, an ice moon with a subsurface ocean beneath the ice.
- Deemo, a rocky moon with an atmosphere and some unknown surface materials.
- Pael, an ice moon with a subsurface ocean beneath the ice.
Synchronous Orbits around any of the Lominan moons are impossible, as they all lie outside the Sphere of Influence of the moons, as is common with tidally locked bodies.
Biomes[]
Lomina has a total of 5 (atmosphere and space-only) biomes.
